Three Places I Will Visit Again in Seoul

I don't think I will ever get enough of South Korea. I feel like my interest in the country is getting stronger and deeper each day especially that I am studying the language. At the moment, I am not watching any Kdrama just because I know that I will feel bad that I can't go back to Seoul anytime soon. I wish I have all the money I need to visit Seoul anytime I want.

My visit last October was my second time in the country but still felt like the first since I visited a lot of places I've never been to. Making this post so that on my next visit, I can include these three places again.

1. Gwangjang Market

If you want to experience authentic Korean food then you must pay Gwangang Market a visit. We went there late in the afternoon on a Sunday and I guess it was a wrong move since the place was packed with tourists and locals. We were hoping to get a table but wasn't lucky to have one. We decided to just grab some food and enjoy it at our hotel.

We got the famous mung bean pancake and the mayak kimbap.

The mung bean pancake is good for 2-3 people and just make sure to finish it while it's hot since it's a bit oily. The vinegar dipping sauce is really good! Will definitely get some of this again when I get back.

The mayak kimbap is called a drug kimbap for a reason. It is without a doubt very addicting! I think that I can survive a day with just this. It is also cheap.

I will come back in Gwangjang Market to try more Korean food and experience eating there.

2. Ehwa University

The beauty of this university is undeniably irresistible. Every corner is IG worthy! I love it here because of the shops around. You can snatch cheap clothes because the target market is students. I got a really nice top for just 10,000 won or roughly 450.00 PHP.

Aside from cheap fashion items, the area is surrounded by street food vendors and affordable restaurants. Oh, how can I forget the delicious chicken skewers! I can't wait to shop and eat here again!

3. Insadong/Jonggak Area

We passed by this area while searching for the famous Goblin shooting location: BBQ Olive Chicken. If not for that famous chicken, I'll have a hard time choosing where to eat!

The next day, I met my Korean friend and she brought us to Insadong and learned that it's the same area as Jonggak.

Insadong was too crowded so we decided to have early dinner and eat samgyupsal (my mom's request). My Korean friend recommended Saemaul Restaurant. It was very affordable and I love their Kimchi Jiggae! It's the best among the three that I've tried! It is not too spicy. Check out my review of their Kiimchi Jiggae here.

I can't wait to go back to Seoul and explore the city. I guess it's official, SEOUL is my FAVORITE city. Well, my love for Korean dramas and KPOP was factored in. Teehee!
